'It made me proud to be British': United Kingdom-shaped cloud formation caught on camera

The eye-catching image of Great Britain was captured by Amy Abrams, 23, the day after the country celebrated the birth of Prince George of Cambridge

It's the great British weather as you’ve never seen it before - a cloud in the shape of the United Kingdom.

The eye-catching image of the British isles was captured by Amy Abrams, 23, the day after the country celebrated the birth of Prince George of Cambridge.

Amy snapped the clouds on July 23 after noticing them drifting across the skies in Coventry, West Mids.

She had been driving in the car with her mother and pulled over to capture the stunning picture at around 2.30pm.

Hovering for one minute before the familiar shape of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland broke up, Amy only had time to take a couple of shots on her iPhone.

Amy said she was amazed she caught the striking image the day after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed Prince George Alexander Louis to the world.

She said: 'I think it was very fitting considered that we had just been blessed with a future king of the country.

'It was like our own little gift to the new prince.

'I had to do a double take when I saw it, I thought that looks amazing. It made me quite proud to be British.'
