‘World’s Sexiest Robot’ Can Talk And Make Eye Contact With People

A lifelike, rubber-skinned robot was talking to fans at the World Robot Exhibition in Beijing this week - with fans describing it as 'the world's sexiest robot'.

The robot, Android Geminoid F, has been created by a Japanese roboticist who believes it will one day be impossible to tell robots and humans apart.

It is 5ft6in, and capable of eye contact, and can recognise people’s body language as they talk.

'Our final goal is creating some artificial intelligence by using this robot,' Kohei Ogawa, assistant professor at Hiroshi Ishiguro Laboratory at Osaka University.

'Most voice recognition systems do not work, especially in this kind of noisy environment.

'In the future we're going to create some perfect AI system by using this robot.'

Creator Hiroshi Ishiguro has made a series of extremely human-like androids including a replica of himself.

In a previous interview he said, ‘I have developed many robots before, but I soon realised the importance of its appearance. A human-like appearance gives a robot a strong feeling of presence.’
