The five singers have not performed together since Angels hitmaker Williams quit to pursue a solo career in 1995.
The four other members - Gary Barlow, Jason Orange, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald - disbanded the group in 1996, but reunited for a hugely successful tour ten years later and have released a string of successful hits in the U.K. since.
All five of the original members were spotted heading into a New York recording studio last month, sparking rumours they were working on new material.
But Williams has spoken out to assure fans he is staying a solo act for the time being.
He tells GQ magazine, "It will happen (a reunion). But not in the next two years. There's contracts to fulfil, then I can do what I want."
