Just days after her beloved daughter passed away from a brain injury following a skiing accident in March, the acting legend was announced as the latest cast addition in Ridley Scott's Robin Hood.

The 72 year old pulled out of the blockbuster shortly afterwards - but she is determined to put her grief behind her with a new movie.

Redgrave is preparing to step in front of the camera again with a starring role in political thriller The Whistleblower, according to Variety.com.

The movie, which will also feature Rachel Weisz, Monica Bellucci and David Strathairn, will begin shooting in Romania later this month.

It is Redgrave's first major movie role since 2007's Atonement.
