The pop superstar, who passed away in June, left instructions that his mother Katherine should be awarded guardianship of Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II in his will - but suggested his friend Diana Ross should take over if the 79 year old died.

Jackson's sister La Toya admits she would fully support Ross if that situation was to occur, but would prefer to take on the responsibility herself.

She says, "According to the will, Diana Ross will be the guardian if anything happens to my mother. I know Diana would do a good job with them, but I think the kids will stay within the family and I'd be more than delighted to look after them."
