The Smile hitmaker appeared to suggest she was retiring from music in September during the height of her campaign to stamp-out illegal online file-sharing.
Her spokesman subsequently denied she was looking to take time out, but the star now admits she's struggling to write any new music - so she will concentrate on launching her label instead.
She says, "I'm not getting out of music altogether but I've run out of things to write about so I'm going to focus on something else for a while. I am setting up a record label. All will be revealed very soon, but I'm really happy about everything."
