The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge is a household name in her native UK but struggles to get recognised in the US, unlike the singing Scottish spinster who became a worldwide sensation after she appeared on the star-search show.
She said: "To get into places, whenever they asked, 'Who is it for?' I'd say, 'Do you know Susan Boyle? I'm the judge on that show.'
"They would be like, 'Oh my god! Susan Boyle!' and we would be in."
Amanda is astonished by Susan's fame, but believes the singer is unaware of how successful she is.
She added to Britain's The Sun newspaper: "It's amazing - she seems to have reached every corner of the world. I don't think she realises her fame is growing.
"Susan has been in a little bubble in Los Angeles making her album and probably thinks the world has forgotten about her."
