The talent show hopefuls both complained of throat infections and have been told by doctors to rest for 48 hours in order to save their voices for Saturday night's (07.11.09) programme.
They were, however, allowed to attend the London premiere of 'A Christmas Carol' last night (03.11.09) but told not to talk to anyone.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Both are determined to make it to Saturday night's show."
Lloyd, 16, has not been able to sing since Sunday night (01.11.09) after his voice cracked during his sing-off against Rachel Adedeji, which he won on the public vote after it was declared a deadlock when the show's judges couldn't decide between the two.
Twins John and Edward had the same bug last week and were quickly taken to a London clinic, where they received emergency medical attention.
Meanwhile BBC executives are keen to sign show judge Cheryl Cole to appear on their science fiction show 'Doctor Who' and want to write a part into the show, which returns with a regular series next year, for her.
