The 'Neighbours' star said he would enjoy working in the UK if his role as Ramsay Street veteran Karl Kennedy in the Australian soap ever finishes.
Alan said: "I wouldn't mind at all. There are some terrific shows. Anne Charleston did 'Emmerdale' for a while and she loved that experience. I'd like to be in 'EastEnders', if I could play a cockney. I'd have to try and pull off a genuine East London accent."
Alan, 52, added he feels he has: "An enormous connection with the English TV and theatre world."
Anne Charleston played Madge Bishop in 'Neighbours' and then moved to the UK to play Lily Butterfield in 'Emmerdale' from 2006-9, while Daniel McPherson, who played Joel Samuels in 'Neighbours', took the role of Cameron Tait in 'The Bill' in 2003.
