Ashley Cole and Tinchy Stryder back Cheryl Cole
The Girls Aloud star broke down in tears when rival judge Simon Cowell told her she was not directing her artists properly.
Tinchy was there at the time and said: "Cheryl felt responsible" after Lloyd Daniels failed to impress the panel with his rendition of Leona Lewis track Bleeding Love.
But the Number One star insists: "Cheryl will be alright" and is bound to do well in the next weeks of the competition.
Chelsea player Ashley meanwhile admitted: "I don't really know too much about music and picking songs but I enjoy her singers. And hopefully people will continue to vote for them."
The singer and talent show judge is expected to top the charts with her debut solo track Fight For This Love at the weekend. If she does, her other half says they will celebrate by watching Dead Man Running, a film he helped to finance and worked on as an executive producer.

Yusuf Islam, the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens, is strolling back onto the stage after a break of 33 years.
