Hallowe'en 'Tweance' contacts Michael Jackson
Organised as a Hallowe'en publicity stunt by London fancy dress store Angels, the Twitter Seance involved medium Jayne Wallace 'contacting' four celebrities who have died , and who were voted for by members of the public beforehand. Wallace then 'tweeted' back their replies via the social networking site.
Those chosen were actor River Phoenix, who died of a drug overdose in 1993, grunge musician Kurt Cobain, William Shakespeare and Michael Jackson.
Michael Jackson did not appear to want to stir up any further controversy about his death. Asked who was responsible, he 'replied': "No one was responsible. I was warned many times about the medication but the pain was too severe and I felt I could not survive without it."
Meanwhile, Kurt Cobain apologised for his substance abuse, saying, "I'm sorry that drugs destroyed my passion for music, music was what kept me alive."
The Tweance is not Mrs Wallace's first foray into the world of celebrities-beyond-the-grave. She also claims to have been in touch with Jade Goody, the Big Brother star who died of cervical cancer in March.
