Jedward live to fight another day!
The brothers, who have divided opinions on whether their act is brilliantly entertaining or downright abysmal, had to sing for survival against the Welsh teenager.
Lucie's rendition of Whitney Houston's One Moment in Time was praised by the judges while Jedward's verson of Rock DJ raised plenty of laughter.
In the end, head judge Simon Cowell took the decision over which of the two acts should stay to the public vote, and Lucie had gained the least support.
The X Factor website was inundated with comments from viewers who were shocked by the decision, but there are also a number of happy Jedward fans.
Yusuf Islam, the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens, is strolling back onto the stage after a break of 33 years.
