Virginia-based Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) has won a five-year $49.1m cost-plus-fixed-fee contract from the US Navy for software development and engineering services according to a report in the Defense Industry Daily. Skip related content
Under the contract, IDT will provide automated testing in support of the automatic test and re-test (ATRT) product for submarine combat systems for all classes of submarines currently in the fleet and under development. IDT will perform the development work in Arlington, Virginia.
ATRT is a Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) effort to use commercial automated testing practices to reduce system development testing costs, improve software quality, and reduce software certification timeline.
