On-demand performance and talent-management software developer SuccessFactors has reported a net loss of $1.97m for the third quarter 2009, compared to a net loss of $20.38m in the year-ago quarter. Revenue increased 30% to $38.68m. Skip related content
Operating loss was $2.07m compared to operating loss of $20.38m in the same period last year, while diluted net loss per share was $0.03 compared to diluted net loss per share of $0.37 a year ago. Cash flow generated from operating activities was $3.6m during the quarter.
During the quarter, SuccessFactors appointed Peter Prestele as head of Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) sales and Vicki Bernholz as chief people officer.
For the nine-month period, SuccessFactors has reported a net loss of $9.97m compared to a net loss of $58.97m a year ago. Revenue increased 40% to $110.84m.
Lars Dalgaard, chief executive at SuccessFactors, said: "As businesses emerge from the economic downturn and plan for 2010 and beyond, they must move forward with new strategies to execute on their growth and profitability plans. This drives real dollar ROI and Return on Execution."
Looking ahead, for the fourth quarter, the company expects revenue between $39.3m and $39.7m and non-GAAP diluted EPS is expected to be approximately breakeven. For fiscal 2009, it expects revenue between $147m and $148m and non-GAAP net loss per share to be approximately $0.04.
