General Dynamics’ Information Technology arm has won a one-year $110.3m contract from the US Army Headquarters Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) to modernize classroom training technology. Skip related content
Under the contract, the company will provide surveying, engineering, design, systems integration, procurement, staging, installation, testing, training, sustainment and technical assistance support to TRADOC and its classroom sites across the country for the Technology Classroom Modernization Program.
The deal was awarded under the Information Technology Enterprise Technology Solutions -2 Services (ITES-2S) contract vehicle.
Zannie Smith, senior vice president at General Dynamics Information Technology, said: “General Dynamics will utilize its systems-integration expertise to execute this project well and on time, providing services to aid TRADOC’s modernization efforts. The need for continuing education has become more and more important to meet mission requirements and readiness.”
Other US defense deals the company has won recently include a five-year $22m contract from the US Department of Homeland Security’s Citizenship and Immigration Services to develop secure credentials for immigrants seeking employment within the US. It also won a five-year $140m contract from the US Coast Guard under the Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading-Edge Solutions (EAGLE) contract vehicle.
