European IT services vendor Logica has established its second Innovation center in Chennai, India that will focus on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). Skip related content
The center is the fifth in the global Spark series that will show Logica's capabilities and thought leadership in multiple areas within the ITS space and showcase applications that address multiple modes of transport such as rail, road and air and their intermodality. It will also help to facilitate collaborative innovation by stimulating the intelligence of thousands of staff, customers and partners.
GBS Bindra, global innovation director at Logica, said: "India has always been a strategic Innovation hub for Logica globally. This is our second Innovation center in India, and we are pleased that it is focused on the ITS theme. The need for multimodality is significant and our role as an integral part of the system is critical. This center is significant for our drive towards innovative solutions for sustainable and intelligent transport systems, and emphasizes our progress and commitment."
In August, Logica reported a first-half net profit of 21.2m pounds ($35.9m) on 6% growth in revenue to 1.87bn pounds ($3.17bn) for 2009.
