NTT DoCoMo has reported a 21% decline in net profit to JPY 137.3bn ($1.51bn) for the second quarter 2010, compared to JPY 173.1bn ($1.91bn) in the same quarter last year. Revenue was down 3.3% at JPY 1.06 trillion ($11.7bn). Skip related content
Operating income fell 17% to JPY 233.4bn ($2.6bn), while EBITDA margin was 39%, compared to 43% last year. Total handset sales declined 19% to 4.46 million.
The company said wireless services revenue declined 3% to JPY 1.9 trillion ($21bn), while equipment sales declined 21% to JPY 253bn ($2.8bn).
For the first half, net profit fell 18% to JPY 285bn ($3.14bn) on revenue down 5.4% at JPY 2.15 trillion ($23.7bn). Operating income declined 16% to JPY 485.2bn ($5.34bn), while EBITDA margin was 39%.
For fiscal 2010, the company expects net profit of JPY 493bn ($5.43bn) and revenue of JPY 4.3 trillion ($47.3bn).
