Under the contract, CACI will use a suite of integrated systems based on Momentum, a financial management COTS solution to streamline processes, real-time budget updates, reduce data entry, general ledger and financial statements, and visibility of resources across JS. The deal also includes procurement and acquisition capabilities in addition to the financial resources and expertise already in place.
CACI has been providing financial services support to the Comptroller since 2002. The deal was awarded under the US Navy's SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) contract vehicle.
Bill Fairl, president of US Operations at CACI, said: "We are pleased that the DoD's Joint Staff Comptroller has shown such a high degree of confidence in the financial management capabilities of Team CACI. This task order provides a welcome extension to our nearly seven year relationship with this important customer."
Other US defense deals the company has won recently include a $19.7m modification contract in September from the US Navy to provide technical support and engineering services and supplies to the Special Communications Requirements Division of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division. It was also one of the five companies to be awarded a contract from the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO) of the Department of Defense to provide comprehensive technical and operational support services.
