SAIC Wins $60m US Navy Contract

Federal contractor Science Applications International Corp (SAIC) has won a five-year $60m contract from the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) to support the Tomahawk Weapons System Program. Skip related content

Under the contract, SAIC will provide technical support services to NAVAIR Program Management Air (PMA) 280. It will provide services in areas including systems engineering, configuration management, safety, simulation, advance concepts, and test and evaluation.

The deal that was awarded under the US Navy's SeaPort-e contract vehicle will be undertaken primarily at Patuxent River, Maryland.

John Fratamico, senior vice president and business unit general manager at SAIC, said: "SAIC has supported the Tomahawk program through multiple generations of technology and is pleased to continue supporting this critical weapon system program in its evolving mission."

Last month, SAIC won a five-year $70m contract from the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk to provide professional support services for Commander, Naval Installations Command Headquarters and Chief of Naval Operations. It also won a three-year $32m contract from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic to support the Tactical Command and Control Division by providing counter improvised explosive device training services.
