Chris Brown thanks fans
The maligned US R&B star played his first concert on Tuesday night since being convicted of the February assault of ex girlfriend Rihanna.
Appearing at the East Rutherford Powerhouse venue in New Jersey, Brown debuted a number of new songs, including latest single "I Can Transform Ya".
During the gig, Brown told fans: "Despite my past and stuff like that, I appreciate all of y'all. How long we gonna do this for? We gonna do this forever!"
The appearance precedes his upcoming "Fan Appreciation" tour, which kicks-off in Houston, Texas, on November 14.
Yusuf Islam, the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens, is strolling back onto the stage after a break of 33 years.
