"Paparazzi" has completed an unprecedented quadruple for the singer, sealing a spectacular 2009.
The track follows the chart-topping other releases from her debut album "The Fame" - "Just Dance", "Poker Face" and "Love Game" - in the Billboard Pop list.
The album has sold 1.56 million copies to date in America and will be re-released later this month.
The deluxe version, rechristened "The Fame Monster", is out on November 23 and features eight new songs.
Yusuf Islam, the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens, is strolling back onto the stage after a break of 33 years.
