"Reality Killed The Video Star" is due out next week but will be available online from this Friday.
The decision follows a similar move by U2, who put their latest record, "No Line On The Horizon", up in advance of it hitting stores in March.
"Reality Killed The Video Star", the follow-up to 2006's "Rudebox", is officially released on Monday.
