Sterling hits low against dollar

AFP - Friday, May 9 04:33 pm

LONDON (AFP) - Sterling fell to a two-year low against the dollar on Friday as investors prepared themselves for a BoE rate easing in June.

The BoE kept rates at five percent on Thursday in an attempt to curb rising inflation but is widely expected to implement a points cut next month following a raft of poor economic data.
