Arquette Files For Divorce From Courtney Cox

Hollywood actor David Arquette has filed for divorce from his wife of 13 years, Friends actress Courtney Cox.

According to court records, the 40-year-old actor has cited "irreconcilable differences" and asked for joint custody of their daughter, Coco, who is eight.

The paperwork was signed in March but has only just been filed.

The couple met on the set of US slasher film Scream in 1995 and married in June 1999.

Despite separating two years ago, the pair have remained on friendly terms.

Cox admitted in a recent interview that they get on better now than when they lived together.

Last year, the actress - who shot to fame after landing the role of Monica in Friends in 1994 - cheered her husband on as he competed in the US show Dancing With The Stars.

Following their split in 2010, the couple released a statement saying: "We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply."

Arquette is currently in Israel where he underwent an impromptu bar mitzvah ceremony at Jerusalem's Western Wall.

He is the youngest of five acting siblings: Rosanna, Richmond, Patricia and Alexis.
