It's that time of year again! The Super Bowl is almost here, and you can feel the excitement building as it gets closer to kickoff. We all want the best seats for all the action, and since those 50-yard line tickets weren't in your stocking this past holiday, where are you going to be? If you think like I do, then you'll be at one of the finest Sports Bars in town. Here are three of the more noteworthy places to be in Central Florida.
Located at 7563 Sand Lake Rd. at Festival Bay Mall on the Northeast side of Sand Lake Rd. at Dr. Phillips
Orlando, Florida 32819
A local institution, Cricketer's Arms Pub & Eatery is a fantastic true British Pub with a lively atmosphere and, most importantly, a bunch of large screen TVs for your football viewing pleasure. Don't let the odd location at the Festival Bay Mall keep you from experiencing one of the best bars in town. It's not to be missed. And, at Cricketer's Arms, Sunday is always Happy Hour all day with domestic drafts, imports, house wines and more. It's the real deal, perfect for watching the Super Bowl or the World Cup. Not much could be better than a classic pub featuring a full English pub menu, great specials, a beer room, live music and extremely friendly folks. No cover.
1550 SR 436, Winter Park, Florida 32792
If quirky and offbeat is your style, then you'll definitely dig the laid-back old Florida vibe at Ain't MissBehavin' Tiki Bar . Housed in an old-school shanty-style building, which in decades past was a pirate themed Long John Silver's, and located at the intersection of Howell Branch & 436, this sports bar has the cool factor going on. Intimate and extremely friendly, you'll find 3 big screen TV's and 2 smaller ones to screen the Super Bowl on, as well as drink and food specials, pool tables, live music and entertainment outside on the patio. No cover.
If chains are more your thing, Gator's Dockside is the place to be. A local Florida chain, there are numerous locations all around town. All have tons of fantastic big screen TVs, a good beer selection, and fun, filling food, including, of course, deep fried gator tail.
As a bonus, this is a very family-friendly establishment, so bring the kids and enjoy the big game together!
Wherever you choose to spend the game, here's hoping your team wins, and have a fantastic Super Bowl Sunday!
