Britpop Legends Blur To Reunite For New Album

The decade-long wait for Blur fans looks almost over as the Britpop legends get ready to record a new album.

The band has apparently scheduled a recording session in January, according to The Sun newspaper.

They could release an album by the end of 2011.

If it goes ahead, it will be the first full Blur album with all of its original band members for more than ten years.

Damon Albarn , Alex James, Dave Rowntree and Graham Coxon reunited to perform at Glastonbury in 2009 along with a series of other gigs.

Last month Albarn confirmed exclusively to Sky News that the band were talking about working together in the near future.

"We did talk about doing something in January, something small, no career-based world domination ideas," he said.

The musician has recently been touring with his group Gorillaz which has seen him collaborate with the likes of Shaun Ryder, Bobby Womack and Lou Reed.
