Bubba Watson Wins The Masters

Bubba Watson has won the Masters after a thrilling final day at Augusta.

The American beat the South African Louis Oosthuizen after a gripping play-off.

Watson clinched his first major title with a par on the second extra hole when Oosthuizen could only manage a bogey five.

The pair finished the regulation 72 holes on 10 under par. Oosthuizen's round included a rare albatross at the second hole on the way to a three under 69 and Watson closing with a 68.

"I never got this far in my dreams." Watson said when asked to put his emotions into words. "It's a blessing for sure."

Watson becomes the 14th different winner of the last 14 majors and the eighth in a row who had never won one before.

Lee Westwood finished in a tie for 3rd place on eight under par alongside Phil Mickelson, Matt Kuchar and third round leader Peter Hanson.
