Close Call: Truck Slams Into Petrol Station

Security footage shows an out-of-control lorry slamming into a petrol station in the United States, narrowly missing other drivers.

The truck was coming off the highway I-77 when it flew through the intersection, before smashing into a pole and toppling over in Akron, Ohio.

Employees and customers at the petrol station came running to the driver's aid and pulled out both a woman - thought to be the driver - and a man from the cabin of the truck.

Just minutes earlier a car had been filling up at the very pump hit by the truck.

According to bystanders, everyone else present at the petrol station walked away unhurt.

The driver of the truck told officers that the brakes had stopped working in the lorry.

The truck driver is expected to appear in court over the incident.
