Country music star Brice escapes bus fire in Ariz.

MESA, Ariz. (AP) — A tour bus carrying country music star Lee Brice caught on fire outside a restaurant in the Phoenix suburb of Mesa, forcing the musician and his crew to flee.

KNXV-TV (http://bit.ly/z2VYTG ) reports that the group had been on the road for nine hours when the bus caught on fire Saturday. The "Love Like Crazy" singer had a concert in Mesa.

Mesa firefighter Shaun Denman says crews worked quickly to keep the fire from spreading to a trailer behind the bus. He says the flames were "about as high as the roof of the building."

Brice says he and a few other people were asleep at the time. He says they left the bus "and within of minutes it was in flames."

He says he's thankful no one was hurt.

Again, not in-depth reporting. What caused the fire? How about a little investigatory journalism instead of lazy headlines?

I'm sure details will come out later. I doubt the author is a fire marshall.

So what .... some country music bumpkin yahoo either accidently set his tour bus on fire or said tour bus caught fire thru faulty maintaince ..... either way this "story" is far from ANYTHING of importance and barely merits the attention it was given, much less some ground-breaking, full disclosure, film at eleven level report you seem your're so entitled too.

I met Lee a few months back on my birthday- great guy and glad to see no one was hurt! Most people don't know all of the songs that he has wrote with other country stars. He has co-written songs with Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, and just recently Crazy Girl sung by Eli Young Band.

Wow, escaping from a bus fire has got to be really difficult? What do you do? Jump out a window? I believe this kid needs to focus more on the quality of his recordings, not on the so called probability of the sympathy purchase he's probably banking on, perhaps if he would drive the bus drunk and tap into the issue he was driven to temporary madness due to economic fluctuations in his industry.

Open the door and step out of the bus. Like this is really news.
