Remarkably, it hasn’t shaken his Bible-inspired beliefs

How did a Biblical Creationist who believes the world is around 6,000 years old react when he found a 60 million-year-old fossil?

‘It hasn’t changed my mind,’ said Canadian Christian Edgar Nernberg.

‘There’s no dates stamped on these things.’

Nernberg is on the board of a local museum - the Creation Science Museum - which endeavours to show that the earth is just a few thousand years old, and that dinosaurs and humans co-existed.

The fossilised fish he found are 60 million years old, and thrived just after the dinosaurs wiped out.

Nernberg - a keen fossil collector - knew that they were important - he just doesn’t think that they’re very old.

‘We all have the same evidence, and it’s just a matter of how you interpret it,’ he said.
