Motorola has released a series of advanced gateways for high-speed data and IPTV services over ultra-broadband networks.
The Netopia 7000 Series VDSL2 Gateways have been enabled for next-generation service offerings such as high-definition TV. With advanced QoS, VPN, and IGMP implementations for fiber-to-the-neighborhood applications, Motorola said the gateways are configured on Broadcom with PhyR, Conexant, and Ikanos chipsets.
Providing remote manageability including centralized remote provisioning, troubleshooting, and management, it said the gateways offer 3-D Reach Extreme Wi-Fi technology for higher wireless range, performance, and coverage, including Wi-Fi Protected Setup pairing technology.
"The new 7000 Series gateways with advanced routing software and quality of service techniques, in addition to end-to-end management capabilities, are designed to meet consumers' insatiable appetite for more bandwidth," said Alan Lefkof of Motorola's broadband solutions group.
