Daredevil flies through cave wearing wingsuit

A stuntman has defied the laws of gravity after freefalling 6,000ft from a helicopter and flying through a cave while wearing a Batman-esque jumpsuit.
Professional stuntman Jeb Corliss attempted the dangerous pursuit on Tianmen Mountain, Hunan Province, on Saturday. The stunt is the first of its kind to be tried in China.

During video footage released by a Chinese TV network, the 35-year-old American can be seen soaring like a bird through a 100-ft arch before losing altitude and plunging towards the Earth’s surface.

The special jumpsuit – also called a wingsuit – was designed to add surface area to the human body with extra fabric between the legs and under the arms enabling a significant increase in lift.

His parachute opened successfully after the adrenaline-pumping experience.

Corliss has previously jumped from the Eiffel Tower and flown through a waterfall in the Swiss Alps in a wingsuit.
