Dell’s first Chromebook 11 to launch on 11 December

Dell is joining the likes of HP and Asus in the Chromebook market soon. It’s first device, the Chromebook 11, will be out on 11 December - very clever Dell – and is aimed at schools.

While this is Dell’s first Chromebook, which it is aiming at schools, there will be more to follow. And despite it being called the Chromebook 11, exactly the same as HP’s device, it might not be specced the same.

Dell says, "The Chromebook 11 was built specifically to meet the needs of schools and districts around the country looking to deploy affordable and comprehensive one-to-one computing initiatives." So it sounds like it should be super affordable and sold in bulk.

Specific details about the device’s hardware, features and pricing are still being held back by Dell. But it sounds like this will be aimed at schools with any business and consumer versions due at a later date.
