    England Beat Scotland At Murrayfield

England have beaten Scotland 13-6 in their opening match at the Six Nations.

England went ahead with a penalty from Owen Farrell on his international debut but Scotland hit back before the break with two kicks from Dan Parks and led 6-3 at half time.

The match came to life in the second half. Charlie Hodgson charged down Dan Parks' clearance kick to score his first England try in eight years.

Scotland had chances too in the second half. Greig Laidlaw thought he had scored after a race for line with Ben Youngs but the TV official ruled out the score.

Scotland flanker Ross Rennie then seemed to have created the opening for a try when he burst through a gap but he delayed his pass and lost it in a tackle.

Owen Farrell then made the game safe with a late penalty to give England their first win at Murrayfield since 2004.

France made a confident start to their campaign with a 30-12 win over Italy in Paris.

Aurelien Rougerie, Julien Malzieu, Vincent Clerc and Wesley Fofana all ran in tries at the Stade de France.

Ireland play Wales in Dublin on Sunday.

As a general rule an 'England' rugby or cricket team means a 'Public School Team' and doesn't give a true representation of English capability! Similar to an English government. We are controlled by 'well-bred' idiots
