Another EuroMillions Jackpot Won By A Brit

£63m EuroMillions Winner Yet To Come Forward

A UK ticket-holder has claimed the £38m jackpot in the EuroMillions draw - the fifth time this year the top prize has gone to a Brit.

The winner rang Camelot to claim their life-changing prize on Saturday morning but it was not disclosed whether it was an individual, couple or syndicate that had the ticket.

Subject to validation, the huge win could be paid out when the banks open on Monday.

The ticket-holder can then decide whether or not to go public and share their news.

Camelot confirmed that just one ticket matched all seven numbers - 3, 4, 12, 23 and 50, plus the lucky star numbers of 4 and 7 - to take the entire jackpot.

Earlier this month, a British ticket-holder scooped £22.1m in the draw , but opted to remain anonymous.

That win came just a week after another UK ticket picked up £46.4m.

Nottingham couple Cassey Carrington and Matt Topham , both 22, scooped £45.1m at the beginning of February.

And on January 20, husband and wife Gareth and Catherine Bull , from Mansfield, banked £40.6m.

But they all come a distance behind the biggest-ever EuroMillions prize which came in July when Colin and Chris Weir , from Largs in Ayrshire, won an astonishing £161m.

That win put them 430th in The Sunday Times Rich List.

Earlier this week an American lottery winner from New Jersey was ordered by a court to share the \$38.5m (£24.3m) Mega Millions jackpot he scooped in 2009.

The court heard how Americo Lopes had tried to cheat his colleagues out of the cash from the winning ticket, which had been bought as part of a syndicate.

He claimed the ticket had been exclusively his - and when the judge's ruling was made, he reportedly responded by saying: "They robbed me."
