'Dirty Old Man': New Allegations Of Harris Abuse

More women have come forward with shocking stories of being indecently assaulted by entertainer and convicted sex attacker Rolf Harris.

Speaking exclusively to Sky News, two Australian women have said they were groped by Harris in circumstances which echo some of the evidence heard during the fallen star's trial.

Louise Anton met Harris at a function in Australia in 2008 and said she was assaulted whilst having her photo taken with him.

"I know first-hand how quickly he can move, and he knows exactly what he's doing," she said.

"I could feel as plain as day his hand running down my back and it rested on the top of my bottom.

"And then he slid his fingers down in between and did that several times and I just couldn't believe what was happening. I could feel every bit of what he did."

Ms Anton, from Perth, Western Australia, has chosen now to speak publicly about the attack because she felt at the time no one would believe her.

After the incident she accused Harris of groping, but the singer and artist laughed it off.

"In true Australian fashion I said 'are you right?' and just glared at him and he looked at me and said 'yeah but feels good dunnit?' with this smirk on his face," she said.

"Everything just started spinning and I just couldn't believe this had happened."

Harris grew up in the Perth suburb of Bassendean and became a local hero as his fame grew.

His rise to stardom began in the 1950s at Perth's new Channel 7 TV station, but over the years some got to see a side to his character kept well away from the small screen.

Perth writer and broadcaster Jane Marwick said: "Rolf went from being the good clean family man that my grandmother admired to being a dirty old man, a very dirty old man who was opportunistic and thought he could get away with a level of humiliation that I had not experienced."

She interviewed Harris on the radio in Perth in 2001, and says he also groped her as they posed for a photo.

She told Sky News: "His hand sort of landed in the middle of my back and his fingers and hand worked their way around to my breast where they stayed out of shot. I remember him breathing rather heavily and standing there and thinking this is unbelievable."

Her co-presenter at the station, Gary Shannon, witnessed the incident.

He said: "Even though I had heard things I didn't expect it to happen right in front of me.

"I wanted to knock his head off. I wanted to physically attack him because of what he'd just done to my colleague and friend.

"Yeah I was angry. And Jane basically stopped me saying 'please no don't, don't' and I said what do you mean don't and she said 'it's Rolf Harris'."

Another Australian who knew about Rolf Harris's wandering hands was producer Paul Redman who worked on a number of shows Harris appeared on.

He'd tell female colleagues to stay clear of the man they nicknamed 'the octopus'.

"I used to warn girls, 'just look, be careful'," says Mr Redman.

"Don't go for the cuddle at the end, because he has been known to grope. Not many of them believed me and unfortunately to their detriment that's why I know six girls who have been touched by Rolf."

The victims have decided to come forward to encourage other women to report cases of indecent assault.
