Richard Gere has participated in a 10-day Buddhist ceremony led by the Dalai Lama.
The Hollywood star is visiting the Body Gaya - a holy place of worship for Buddhists - in India.
Gere , considered one of the Dalai Lama's most high-profile followers, has been there with around 200,000 other Buddhists to listen to the Tibetan spiritual leader.
Better known for starring in movies like Pretty Woman and Runaway Bride, he frequently visits Dharamsala, the headquarters of the Tibetan government-in-exile.
Gaya is believed to be the place where Buddha attained enlightenment.
It is playing host to a 10-day mass Buddhist ceremony known as the Kalachakra puja.
