The girlfriend of cricketer Tom Maynard has described him as "the most special man I have ever met".
Carly Baker paid tribute to him on Twitter after the talented batsman was found dead on rail tracks.
The model and actress tweeted: "My beautiful boyfriend Tom Maynard, I can't cope with this. I love you always and forever. You meant everything to me."
She then added: "We will always be together. I love you Tom X"
In a third tweet she said: "You're the most special man I have ever met. You made me the happiest girl. I love you always X"
Mr Maynard, 23, was a highly promising Surrey batsman who was tipped to follow in the footsteps of his father Matthew, who made it into the senior England team.
At 4.15am on Monday the player's black Mercedes was seen driving erratically along Arthur Road in Wimbledon, south west London. It is believed he may have been on his way to Miss Baker's home.
When police officers tried to get him to stop he abandoned his car in nearby Ryfold Road and ran off.
Some 45 minutes later his body was found on the tracks of the London Underground District Line close to Wimbledon Park station.
Mr Maynard's death came just hours after he played for Surrey in a Twenty20 match in Kent on Sunday. People throughout the cricketing world and beyond have expressed their shock at his untimely death.
As a mark of respect Surrey have postponed their match against Hampshire that was scheduled to be played at the Oval on Wednesday evening.
