Headmistress Confiscates Pupil's iPhone And Offers Dad A Flip-Phone Instead

Controversy has erupted over a video showing a school headmistress offering a father a flip-phone instead of the new iPhone 6 she confiscated from his child.

The Philadelphia father is stunned when she claims that school rules allow her to take away what turns out to be his iPhone 'for several weeks'.

Instead, she hands him an old-school flip phone - and explains that the school buys them in bulk to give to parents whose phones have been confiscated.

'I can't give the phone back. We have to secure them,' she explains. 'That's our policy. Sorry that we took it, she can get her phone back in few backs.'

'Why would you make a rule that a parent can't get back property he bought?' the father asks.

'I can show you the rule book if you want. You can use the flip phone for emergencies. This is the way we want to do it.'
