Nooo! Not another beautiful celeb marriage down the Hollywood crapper. These were pretty much our first thoughts when we heard the news Heidi Klum and Seal are headed towards divorce.
The couple confirmed today to People in a joint statement that they have grown apart.
"While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition."
Some of our favorite celeb couples have called it quits in the past year but this is one celeb marriage we really wanted to see work out. Here are a few reasons Heidi and Seal should stay together.
Longevity
Heidi and Seal started dating in 2003 making the couple's history date back nearly 10 years. In Hollywood love, that's almost a lifetime compared to some *cough* *cough* relatively short marriages (Kim Kardashian, anyone?) In close to a decade together these two have experienced all of the growing pains of a relationship. Every marriage is tough and every couple has to find a way to work out the problems so why call it quits now after such a long time together?
The Children
Between the two of them Heidi and Seal have four children, three of them being from their marriage. Heidi was pregnant with daughter Leni in 2003 when the two met and fell in love and in 2009 Seal proudly adopted Leni as his daughter. That in itself shows the strength and bond of Seal and their children. C'mon Seal and Heidi, think of the beautiful children you have together!
Undeniable Chemistry
We've seen the cosmic pull between these two celebs. It's evident when they walk the red carpet together, when they're on screen with each other, and even when they share sweet moments together on stage occasionally. Seal seems to be one romantic guy and we hope he does something soon to make his ladylove swoon for him again. Will these two be able to find that same chemistry with another partner? We think not.
