Hoy Claims Gold In Kazakhstan

Hoy Snatches Dramatic Gold

Sir Chris Hoy has won the men's sprint at the Track Cycling World Cup in Kazakhstan.

The three-time Olympic champion - who withdrew from last month's European Championships with a chest infection - beat Russia's Denis Dmitriev in the gold-medal race.

It is Hoy's second medal of the week after taking the silver in the keirin on Saturday.

Dani King won silver in the women's omnium on Sunday to take Britain's overall medal tally to three for the championship.

The event in Kazakhstan was the first of four in the Track World Cup series.
