I'm A Celebrity Star Denies Rape Charges

Former I'm A Celebrity contestant Aggro Santos has denied raping two young women he took back to hotel rooms after playing gigs.

The Brazilian-born rapper is accused of forcing one of the victims to have sex with him after he appeared at the opening of a club in Yeovil, Somerset, in September 2010.

He is also accused of raping a 16-year-old girl in May last year after the University of Chichester summer ball.

Co-defendant Tyrelle Ritchie allegedly forced the same girl to perform a sex act on him on the same night.

Santos told Chichester Crown Court that, in the Somerset incident, he had invited the victim and her friend back to the Yeovil Court Hotel.

He described how he went with one woman to his room while the alleged victim went with Santos' booking agent, Josh Byron, to his room.

The rapper said that after he had consensual sex with his companion, he suggested they go into the other room.

The victim claims it was when her friend and Santos went into the room she was in with Byron that she was raped.

In the second incident, which happened in Chichester, West Sussex, on May 7 last year, Santos had performed at the summer ball when he invited the alleged victim, her sister - who was a student at the university - and two friends back to his hotel.

Santos told the court how he went to his room with the girl, who had told him she was 19, and had consensual sex with her.

The alleged victim has accused Santos of forcing her to have sex with him on a second occasion while Ritchie forced her to perform a sex act on him.

Santos, who is charged under his real name Yuri Santos, of Bickersteth Road, Tooting, southwest London, denies two counts of rape.

Ritchie, of Vauxhall Street, Lambeth, southeast London, denies one count of oral rape.

Santos' debut single Candy, featuring former Pussycat Dolls singer Kimberly Wyatt, shot to number five in the UK charts in 2010.

    The trial continues.
