iPad mini: Where to get it

So you've seen it (or at least read about it) and now you want it. So where exactly can you get hold of the iPad mini?

While some retailers and operators have been forthcoming in the fact that they will be stocking the iPad mini, with others it's more a case of watch this space. We'll be sure to update accordingly.

    Apple

Of course it's a given, but Apple will be selling the iPad mini both in its retail stores and through its Apple Online Store, www.apple.com/uk. Prices start from £269 rising to £559 depending how much memory you want and whether you opt for Wi-Fi and cellular, or a Wi-Fi only model.

    John Lewis

From the 2 November launch date, high street retailer John Lewis will also be selling the iPad mini with pricing again starting at £269. John Lewis says all its variants will come with a two-year guarantee at no extra charge.

    Carphone Warehouse

Carphone Warehouse was quick to announce that they too would be stocking the iPad mini. Though its yet to announce any official pricing, Carphone Warehouse's "Network Price Promise", that matches the price of any network, should ensure you won't be paying over the odds.

    Three

The first of the UK operators to announce they will be stocking the iPad mini was Three. However, it may not be here by the 2 November launch date, with pricing still yet to be finalised.

    O2

Though there's no official word from O2, Pocket-lint's sources suggest that O2 is unlikely to stock the iPad mini. The fact that the operator doesn't stock the new (3rd edition) of the iPad means this is no huge surprise. However, customers will still be able to get their data tariffs from O2.

Current iPad deals double your data every third time you top up and free access to The Telegraph for 10 months when you sign up to 1GB and 2GB data plans. Expect similar sweeteners for the iPad mini.

    EE

EE (formerly Everything Everywhere) has remained surprisingly quiet, particularly as they would be the only UK operator in a position to provide 4G network speeds when the iPad mini initially arrives. However, the eagle-eyed among you would have noticed that the EE logo appeared on the big screen when the iPad mini was revealed so expect pricing and availability to be announced soon.

    Vodafone

Pocket-lint has asked Vodafone for confirmation, but is still waiting to hear back. We'll be sure to update as soon as we hear anything.
