    Ruddy To Miss Euro 2012

England goalkeeper John Ruddy has been ruled out of Euro 2012 after breaking a finger in training.

The Norwich City keeper, who is yet to win a cap, was named in Roy Hodgson's 23-man squad after an impressive season.

Birmingham City goalkeeper Jack Butland, who was previously on the standby list, will join up with the squad next week.

Speaking ahead of England's first warm up match in Norway manager Hodsgon said he was disappointed for Ruddy.

"He was so excited to be with the national team and to go to the Euros, but to break a finger, in goalkeeping work too, was really unfortunate.

"We can't take a risk. The finger will heal before the start of the season but the medical advice was for him to stop at home."
