Julianne Moore to play warring divorcee

Julianne Moore will star as a dysfunctional divorcee in a new movie.

The 'Kids Are Alright' actress will team up with British funnyman Steve Coogan to play a warring former couple in the film based on the book 'What Maisie Knew' by Henry James.

Julianne will play a rock star with Steve playing her art dealing former spouse in the Scott McGehee and David Siegel directed production which sees the two parents use their daughter as a pawn in their relationship after a judge grants them six months of custody a year each.

'What Maisie Knew' will be filmed by New York's Red Crown Productions with the movie's foreign rights to be offered for sale at the Cannes Film Festival, starting this week.

Julianne has signed up for a number of roles recently including new TV movie 'Game Change' where she will portray failed US vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

The 50-year-old actress is also set to play the world's worst witch in horror story 'Seventh Son' alongside Jeff Bridges.

The movie follows the tale of a young boy who is training to be an exorcist in the 1700s. However, trouble begins brewing when he accidentally releases the most evil witch in the world.
