Kanye West had a hard time keeping his pants up during a date with Kim Kardashian on Friday night. The rapper and his ladylove were rocking matching pairs of tight leather pants, but Yeezy was having a hard time keeping up with his Kardashian because his trousers were falling down and exposing a little too much skin.
Luckily he was wearing something underneath his pants, so he didn't experience the type of major wardrobe malfunction that some female celebrities get embarrassed with. Guys are lucky because they don't have to worry about getting photographed wearing a skirt with no panties or suffering from a nip slip, but as Kanye demonstrated, male celebrities can experience clothing snafus, too.
Take Justin Bieber, for example. Kimmy K's little friend recently hit the studio with her new boyfriend, so perhaps Kanye is taking his fashion cues from the Biebs now. Like Kanye, Justin wears girlishly tight pants but pulls them down in an attempt to look "gangsta." Last November he was photographed flashing a pair of pink underwear while walking his dogs, and in September he showed off his purple briefs. From what we've seen, Kanye hasn't embraced the Biebs' love of pastel-colored drawers just yet.
Yeezy and Shawty Mane shouldn't feel too bad - even old pros like Robert Downey Jr. can be prone to wardrobe malfunctions. Last year at a "Sherlock Holmes" movie premiere in Rome, he was photographed showing off his red Calvin Klein underwear. However, "The Avengers" star might have been displaying his drawers on purpose - it looked like his dress shirt was tucked into them, and they were color-coordinated with his tie and his pocket square. That's just how RDJ keeps it classy.
Zac Efron experienced a non-underwear-related wardrobe malfunction back in March while walking the red carpet for his movie "The Lorax" - when he tried to pull something out of his pants pocket, he accidentally dropped a condom on the red carpet. Of course this was extra embarrassing since he was at the premiere for a kids' movie, but while talking about the incident on the "Today" show he agreed with Matt Lauer that it's better to be safe than sorry.
These wardrobe malfunctions might be bad, but they're not quite as mortifying as the one Mark Ballas experienced on "Dancing with the Stars" in 2009. He was wearing a pair of very short red shorts while dancing with partner Shawn Johnson, and we'll just say that he was so excited that he just couldn't hide it.
So even though guys don't wear short skirts or plunging necklines, they can still manage to find ways to embarrass themselves with fashion fails.
