Katy B Sees Second Album Hit Number 1 Spot

It is second time lucky for Katy B after her latest album, Little Red, shot to the top of the UK charts.

The 24-year-old singer worked with songwriters Guy Chambers, famous for his collaborations with Robbie Williams, and Grammy Award-winner Fraser T Smith, on the album.

The dubstep star, from Peckham, south London, had previously peaked at number two with her debut album On A Mission in 2011.

It follows a string of top 10 singles for the former Mercury Prize nominee in recent years, including Lights On with rapper Ms Dynamite, Katy On A Mission and Broken Record.

She also teamed up with producer Mark Ronson on the song Anywhere In The World for the London 2012 Olympics.

Ellie Goulding's album Halcyon rose one place to number two in this week's chart, while last week's number one, So Long, See You Tomorrow by London rockers Bombay Bicycle Club, fell to number eight.

In the singles chart, Clean Bandit made it a fourth successive week at number one with their dance track Rather Be.

Stay The Night by DJ producer Zedd and Paramore singer Hayley Williams, had led the way in the mid-week chart update but was left in second place.

Pharrell Williams' Happy fell one place to number three, while Shot Me Down by David Guetta featuring Skylar Grey and album-chart topper Katy B with Crying For No Reason completed the top five.
