Kylie Minogue Stalked By Twitter 'Weirdo'

Kylie Minogue says she has alerted police after being targeted by an online stalker.

The singer took to Twitter to tell her fans, who she describes as lovers, about a "deluded weirdo" who had apparently been making unwelcome advances on the microblogging site.

She wrote: "I love 1,033,861 of you LOVERS, but 1 is not a lover, just a deluded weirdo making threats andthatdoesnotmakeyouspecial SO..police alerted".

It is not the first time the Australian star has had problems with obsessive fans.

In 2002 she revealed she had been stalked by a man for five years.

Kylie is celebrating 25 years since she released her debut single with a series of re-recordings of her greatest hits.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and underwent surgery and chemotherapy to beat the disease, before being given the all-clear the following
    year.

There are calls for Facebook and Twitter to be forced to sign official codes of conduct to help stop stalking.

Why anyone would bother to expose themselves and their boring lifestyles on a public forum such as those above is a mystery. All manner of morons without a life read these things, and as for a so called celebrity taking part, it makes the mind boggle.

Time to stop calling strangers lovers it's not the wisest of moves in today's world especially while the law doesn't seem to be able to stop stalkers until it is too late in a lot of cases. These deluded individuals read into anything calling everyone your lover will bring them all out of the woodwork.I wish you the best Kylie stay safe.

I'm a bit worried about these 'lovers in the woodwork.' Is there a spray or something?
