More Gloom For David Cameron In Latest Poll

The Tories have slumped to a 14-point deficit behind Labour, according to a new opinion poll.

The survey for the Sunday Express by pollsters Angus Reid puts David Cameron's party on just 29%, compared to 43% for Labour.

The paper says it is Labour's biggest lead over the Conservatives since December 2002.

At that time Tony Blair was Prime Minister and Iain Duncan Smith was leader of the Opposition.

The poll findings also make grim reading for Mr Cameron's coalition partners, the Liberal Democrats.

They are on just 9% - level pegging with the UK Independence Party.
