LG hires Giles Deacon to spruce up 3D glasses

LG is hoping 3D glasses with a designer flair will be enough to convince you to go with it's new Cinema 3D range of televisions following the news that it's commissioned fashion designer Giles Deacon to design a set of glasses especially for those with the new TV.

Simply called Giles for LG, the 3D glasses that also working in your local cinema - aren't you swanky - won't be everyone's cup of tea however. In fact some will say the bright colour and bold statement prints are a bit Timmy Mallet (Mrs Pocket-lint agreed).

Still, that shouldn't put you off, especially those looking for something, well, a bit different.

LG is hoping that it's new range of Cinema 3D TV's really opens up 3D in the home, and while it means you'll still have to wear glasses, the company is trying to move it's watchers away from active glasses that are expensive and need to be charged regularly.

Sadly if you have an Active 3D television set these won't work on your TV.

The limited edition glasses are available exclusively at Selfridges on Oxford Street [darling] and cost £29.99.
